Hi, I’m Jennifer Dahl.
I originally founded DahlHouse Design as a nod to my last name, but over time, that name became something deeper. After losing my father in 2011, it hit me just how much meaning a name can hold. DahlHouse isn’t just a business name — it’s a reminder of where I come from, what I carry, and what keeps me going.
I’ve always been creative. I was born with the gene.
For me, happiness exists in creating — designing, drawing, painting, lettering, building something out of nothing. I love it all. I always have. And I’m grateful I’ve been able to turn that passion into a career.
Over the years, I became known for one-of-a-kind invitations, event design, and business identity work, and I’ve had the honor of creating for clients including UNICEF, The Foundation of Health in Aging, and George Soros, along with countless small businesses who trusted me with their vision. My work has been featured in Inside Weddings, (201) Bride, and New Jersey Bride.
I’m a graphic designer by trade, but my favorite work is the kind that feels human — the kind you can touch. I love dimension. I love texture. I love hand lettering. I love illustration. I respect old-school methods and craftsmanship, whether it’s paper, paint, or pen.
I’m also the person who will always push handwriting like it’s a lost art worth fighting for… because it is.
But here’s the thing: DahlHouse isn’t just about design anymore.
It’s about the whole picture.
I’m a Momma to two daughters who are now teenagers and rapidly approaching their own lives — and I’m trying to soak up every second of it. I’m also navigating real life: perimenopause, auto-immune nonsense, balancing a 9–5 job, a 5–9 hustle, and all the behind-the-scenes chaos that comes with being the one who holds everything together.
I’m a daughter of a Vietnam Veteran. I’m a scholarship hunter. I’m a lover of old music. I’m a planner nerd. I’m a home project starter. I’m an upcycler when I’m feeling brave. And I’m someone who believes you don’t have to have it all figured out to still have something valuable to share.
DahlHouse is where all of that lives.
Some days you’ll find polished design work. Other days you’ll find handwritten envelopes, life tips, organization hacks, a DIY project, or a blog post that sounds like I wrote it in one sitting (because I probably did).
I’m not here to pretend I’m perfect.
I’m here to show up, share what I know, and maybe make someone laugh along the way.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
It’s a work in progress… just like me.
